The Arrest and Control course provides security professionals with the practical skills and legal knowledge required to safely and effectively manage suspects and make arrests. Combining classroom instruction with intensive hands-on exercises, this course prepares students to respond confidently in high-pressure situations.
This course is built for security officers and executive protection agents who need to go beyond basic licensing and develop real-world control skills. Whether you are making an arrest or managing a combative subject, this course ensures you understand both the technique and the legal framework surrounding each action. It begins with verbal judo — the art of using language to maintain control and resolve conflict before it escalates physically.
Students learn the legal aspects of making an arrest, the correct application of handcuff restraint devices in a variety of positions, and how to maintain control of a suspect through every stage of an encounter. The course also covers the legal aspects of searching a suspect.
The course concludes with a practical examination, ensuring every student can demonstrate competent, safe, and lawful arrest and control technique.
