Tactical emergency casualty care at Pacific West Academy equips civilians with life-saving trauma skills designed to reduce preventable deaths during high-threat situations and active shooter incidents. My intent is that these guys are going to pick up on the three things that are going to kill a patient in a traumatic event or tactical situation and render some effective aid to them. Training like this is super important. Getting as realistic as an environment as you can and dialing up that stress as much as possible because you’re not going to be super calm and collected when you come into something like this in real life.
