When you have five guns drawn on you, the adrenaline dump is major. If it wasn’t for PWA training, that could have gone really bad. My name is Tony Howell. I’m an armed security officer and I’m a graduate from Pacific West Academy. I was recently in a shooting. It was all over the news. An active robbery that seeing five individuals in hoodies, locks pointing directly at me, the first thing I thought about was my two bullets. I remember Pacific West Academy telling us that our job is to always get back home to our families. Number two, the training kicked in right away. I doubled back into the food max. That bought me time to withdraw my weapons. And then by the time they approached the double doors, I demanded that they drop their weapons. They did not drop it. After that, I just let them have it. They said any other security guard probably would have got smoked by those five individuals. So, I definitely want to give credit to Pacific West Academy. If I did not go into your academy, I probably would not be here today. My name is Tony and I’m PWA strong.
