Pacific West Academy — SMS Terms of Service

1. Program Description
Pacific West Academy (“PWA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers a text messaging (SMS/MMS) program to share information related to admissions, enrollment, financial aid, program updates, campus announcements, event reminders, and general communications with prospective students, current students, and other individuals who opt in (“Program”).
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through a web form, application, enrollment document, or other means, you consent to receive text messages from Pacific West Academy (Advanced Security Concepts, Inc.), including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or similar technology.
2. Consent to Receive Messages
By opting in, you agree to receive recurring SMS/MMS messages from Pacific West Academy (Advanced Security Concepts, Inc.) at the mobile number provided. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment or purchase of any goods or services. Message content may include, but is not limited to:
Admissions status and application follow-up
Enrollment and financial aid reminders
Class schedules, orientation, and program updates
Event invitations (including veteran/military outreach events)
Campus announcements and general institutional communications
3. Message Frequency
You will receive up to 3 messages per week, depending on your enrollment activity.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges will depend on your mobile carrier and plan. Pacific West Academy is not responsible for any fees charged by your wireless carrier related to receipt of these messages.
5. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Pacific West Academy (Advanced Security Concepts, Inc.) at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send the message “STOP,” we will send you a reply message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you would like to resume receiving messages, you may opt in again as described above.

7. Supported Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Participating carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile®, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular®, MetroPCS, and other major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy at https://pwa.edu/privacy-policy/ to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including your mobile phone number.
We will not share your mobile phone number or opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
9. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent, to participate in this Program. By opting in, you represent that you are the account holder for the mobile number provided or have the account holder’s permission to enroll that number in this Program.
10. Devices and Compatibility
Text messaging is available on most mobile devices and carriers. Pacific West Academy is not responsible for any delays, failures, or errors in message delivery caused by your carrier, device, or network issues.
11. Changes to These Terms
Pacific West Academy reserves the right to modify or discontinue the SMS Program, or update these Terms of Service, at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued participation in the Program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
