I want to thank my brother. I definitely would want to thank my father. I want to thank my parents. I just want to thank my wife back home in Virginia. 10 weeks is a long time, but she has been absolutely amazing. They’re all in Asia. So, I’m kind of the only one here in the States. He motivates me to do it cuz there’s a lot of things he wanted to do. He just couldn’t at the time. So, it’s kind of me living the life for him and kind of showing like, “Hey, Dad, I did it.” One thing I’ll take away from Pacific West Academy, it taught me a lot about staying calm under pressure. You being calm is the difference between somebody losing their life and you saving a life. It’s a blend of protection and customer service. Just having the confidence to be here, to learn, to explore, to branch out, you know, make connections has been the biggest deal. I was a marksman shooting instructor in the Marine Corps and having the ability to not only learn a few new things, but elevate it to the point where I’m more accurate and more lethal. The moment that I’m most proud of here at PWA is the combative spiral. It’s kind of the culminating event. The thing I’m most proud about my journey is my progression. I plan on keep training and going to the gym, doing martial arts, not being static. I’m ready to take whatever they got to throw at me. Not allowing myself to just be comfortable. One thing my dad always said to me, if you’re going to be the lion, be the head, not the tail. And just continuing to achieve goals. That’s what I’m looking forward to.
