PACIFIC WEST ACADEMY
Accessibility Statement
Pacific West Academy is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every prospective student, current student, veteran, family member, and partner to be able to find information, apply, and connect with us without barriers.
Our Standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines describe how to make web content more usable for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have mobility, cognitive, or learning disabilities.
What We’re Doing
- Reviewing our website for accessibility on a regular basis, using automated tools and manual testing
- Providing text alternatives for meaningful images
- Making our pages usable by keyboard and compatible with screen readers
- Using sufficient color contrast and readable text sizes
- Adding captions to video content and transcripts where available
- Training the staff who create and update our web content
- Considering accessibility when we choose third-party tools, forms, and platforms
Known Limitations
Some content may not yet fully meet our standard, including older PDF documents, embedded third-party content such as maps, video players, or application/enrollment forms hosted by outside vendors. We are working to fix these issues. If you need any of this content in another format, please contact us and we will provide it.
Need Help or Want to Report a Barrier?
If you have trouble accessing any part of our website, or need information in an alternative format, please let us know. Tell us the page or content involved and the best way to reach you, and we will respond within 5 business days.
